Calling all University of Bridgeport faculty, staff, students, alumni, donors, parents and friends – everyone’s got a UB Story, and we’d love to hear and share yours!

The University of Bridgeport is a multidimensional, international and collaborative community of lifelong learners and teachers impacting their fields, communities and the world in positive ways. Your story can help us tell “The UB Story” – and every voice counts.

The Submission Guidelines and Form below are designed for your convenience in sharing your good news or story, and however you wish to express yourself in any combination (words, photos, videos, audio) is welcome. We’ll review all submissions for possible inclusion throughout our communication vehicles — including publications, PR, website and UB News — and whatever we select will be sent for your approval before production.

Timing and Deadlines

It’s never too early to begin notifying us of an upcoming story. As soon as you have a set date for an event, or release date for a news story, reach out to us right here. Two weeks’ notice is a good timeframe for most stories, but for a major event, the earlier the better.

Follow the classic journalism rule of answering “Who, What, Where, When, Why and How.” All details welcome!

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Writing: Enter text in story field or attach a *.doc or *.rtf file.
  • Photography: Submit image(s) at highest resolution possible, JPEG-only format.
  • Videos: Under 3 minutes in length; under 60 MBs in size, MOV, MPG, MPEG, or WMV format.
  • Audio Clips: Under 3 minutes in length, MP3, WMA, or WAV format.
