“This is an interesting moment,” commented Riggs at this timely moment of transition in Saudi Arabia. “…Abdullah was a relatively effective leader …. The big question is, is Salman as his successor, capable and cogent enough to lead, or is the hand behind the throne, Prince Muqrin, his deputy crown prince, who is now the crown prince?”
