The University of Bridgeport and Enterprise Holdings will expand internships and financial assistance for students, starting this summer, thanks to a donation from the rental car company.

Enterprise will fund two $1,500 student scholarships for summer and fall internships.

The internships, which hare open to any undergraduate, were announced earlier this semester, and students have been applying through the Center for Career Development. They met with Talent Acquisition Manager Warren Kwan of Enterprise Holdings at the Trefz School of Business on April 24, where the scholarships were announced.

“They are a new incentive,” said Keith J. Hassell, director of the Center for Career Development. “We’re excited by our continued partnerships with Enterprise and growing the program so in future years.”

The Center for Career Development will notify internship/scholarship winners by the end of May, Hassell said.
