What: A benefit screening of the critically acclaimed movie, The Good Lie, starring UB alumnus Ger Duany to support Humanity Helping Sudan. Following the movie, Duany will discuss his experience as a Lost Boy and filming this remarkable movie.

Who: Ger Duany is one of over 20,000 boys orphaned during the Sudanese Civil War who walked on foot across that country to safety. After coming to the United States, he attended the University of Bridgeport and is now a model and actor. His other film credits include I Heart Huckabees, Isn’t it Delicious, Restless City, and The Fighter.

When: April 2; reception and cash bar at  6 p.m.; screening at 7 p.m., followed by a Q-and-A with Ger Duany

Where: The Bijou Theatre, 275 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport
