NOW is the Time to be Part of History at UB!
You’ve all heard all about it – the first new residential hall in more than 45 years is happening. NOW!
This Friday, April 24th, a groundbreaking ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. with the full UB community expected to attend – students, faculty, staff, the Purple Knights mascot, the Board of Trustees, and more. One lucky student will win the opportunity to start the demolition process on Schine Hall, symbolically turning over a new chapter in UB’s history, while 10 other students will be on “shovel duty” at the request of President Salonen.
Then on Sunday, April 26th, at 3 p.m., the Office of Alumni Relations is sponsoring an Alumni Gathering “Schine Down” Party, complete with a cook-out, tee shirts, music, and an afternoon of celebration to say goodbye to Schine Hall.
See event details to the right. We’ve got an exciting week ahead on campus – don’t miss being part of UB’s history!**
