Free oral cancer screenings for veterans at UB’s Fones School of Dental Hygiene Clinic on November 10.

Veterans are invited to visit Fones School of Dental Hygiene Clinic on the University of Bridgeport campus on Tuesday, November 10 to receive free oral cancer screenings and dental hygiene goodie bags.

The clinic is located on the 5th floor of the Health Sciences Center, 60 Lafayette Street, Bridgeport.

Students and faculty from Fones School will conduct the specialized oral cancer screenings using tissue-fluorescence technology. In addition, the service members will be entered into a drawing for a deluxe gift basket to include an automatic toothbrush.

Fones School of Dental Hygiene was founded in 1913 by Dr. Alfred C. Fones as the first dental-hygiene school on the world and remains a leader in dental-hygiene education.
