The University of Bridgeport Waterbury Campus has expanded its curriculum. New offerings will include bachelor’s degrees in general studies, human services, and psychology.
Classes for the fall semester begin August 30.
The new courses, said Provost Michael Spitzer, are designed to “accommodate current demand” at the Waterbury site located at 84 Progress Lane.
“Our Waterbury site has been growing rapidly as students and working adults in the region seek to advance their education and professional training, particularly in the field of education,” Spitzer added. “Many have expressed an interest in taking a richer array of programs; we are pleased to accommodate their educational needs.”
In addition to its new offerings, UB’s Waterbury site also offers a Master of Science in Education, the Sixth-Year Degree for teachers, MOD MAP, and tuition-paid education internships. Students may also earn an associate’s degree in general studies.
