Inside the Media, the University of Bridgeport lecture series on communications and the media, will launch its 2001-12 season on Wednesday, September 28 when David Salinas, CEO of Digital Surgeons, speaks about life in the trenches of a digital ad agency.
The event will takes place from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Wahlstrom Library, room 503, 126 Park Avenue. It is free and open to the public.
Additional Inside the Media lectures will run on October 26 and November 9.
Presented by the University mass communications department, Inside the Media lectures provide a behind-the-scenes look into the ever-complex, ever-changing media industry with veterans of the industry.
“You’ve got to hear it straight-up, from other voices, to really get a better picture. Students can ask themselves: Is this what I really want to do, or is there a different niche for me in the field?” said mass communications professor Susan Katz who conceived of the series.
