University of Bridgeport (UB) Faculty Research Dayâa celebration of cutting-edge research, innovation, and creative thinking in the sciences, medicine, arts, and politicsâwill be held Friday, February 10.
Showcasing work by UB faculty and selected students, the daylong event is open to the public, as well as the entire campus community. It begins at 9:30 a.m. at The Gallery in the Arnold Bernhard Center, 84 Iranistan Avenue.
Keya Sadeghipour, who is dean of the College of Engineering at Temple University, will deliver a keynote speech at 11:45 a.m.
This year’s event features nearly 100 posters, with research in fields as far ranging as engineering, education, the health sciences, business, international relations, and physics and biology. Student research will be judged by a panel of faculty, and prize money will be awarded.
“There is so much exciting research at UB, and we hope that everyone will stop by to see the innovation on campus. It really is breathtaking in scope,” said Dr. Tarek Sobh, vice president of graduate studies and research.
