UB to live stream Commencement ceremonies on May 6 and 7 for all to see

Viewers can take a virtual front-row seat to 107th Commencement and special graduation ceremonies for health sciences graduates.

The University of Bridgeport will broadcast live video feed from its 107th Commencement on Saturday, May 6, 2017, allowing viewers to watch the ceremony at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport from anywhere around the world.

The ceremony will begin streaming from inside the Arena at 10 a.m. EST at http://commencement.bridgeport.edu/live/.

Ernest C. Trefz, a longtime trustee of the University who passed away on February 25, will be awarded an honorary Doctorate of Human Letters posthumously.

This year’s Commencement Address will be delivered by alumnus Ramon E. Peralta Jr. ’93, president and creative director of Peralta Design.  He also will receive an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters moments after members of the Class of 1967 will be inducted as Golden Knights on the 50th anniversary of their UB graduation.

Class Speaker Louise Ovner ’17, an international student from Vallentuna, Sweden, will urge approximately 1,500 graduates to become a force for positive change during her address.
